ChatGPT plans and writes; Sigmora edits, renders and posts in your workspace. Reasoning runs on your ChatGPT plan. Sigmora credits pay only for media work, and every paid step is priced before it runs.

Connect

Sigmora is not in ChatGPT’s app directory yet. Until it is, add Sigmora as a custom connector:
  1. In ChatGPT on the web, open Settings → Security and login and turn on Developer mode (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Education plans).
  2. Open chatgpt.com/plugins, choose +, name it Sigmora, and use the address https://api.sigmora.org/mcp with OAuth.
  3. Choose Connect. In the Sigmora window, sign in or create an account, pick the workspace, and approve.
No API key is involved. Disconnect at any time in Settings → API keys → Connected apps.

What ChatGPT can do

The connection exposes a focused tool set rather than the whole API: Sigmora’s own writing tools are not exposed here: ChatGPT does the writing, guided by the playbooks.

Edits in place, or a finished file

  • Change the project’s edit (remove ums, tighten pauses, add captions, trim to a length, cut words): the free edit_ tools return a proposal; nothing changes until sigma_apply, and sigma_revert undoes it. Export the edited project from the Sigmora editor. Apply or drop each proposal before asking for the next edit: once one lands, a proposal made beside it is out of date, and ChatGPT proposes that edit again on the current version.
  • Get a finished video file (shorts from a long video, a rendered cut to download or post): video_edit, priced per output and quoted first.

Price first, then run

A priced tool called without maxCredits returns a quote and runs nothing:
The same call with maxCredits equal to the agreed price (and the same idempotencyKey) does the work. If the price has moved above maxCredits, the call is refused before any work. Over HTTP, the operations that support quoting use the x-sigmora-quote-only and x-sigmora-max-credits headers — see Pricing & credits.

Results in the chat

Every tool’s result renders as an inline card, except playbook_get, which is guidance for ChatGPT itself. The card shows:
  • Quotes: the price and your balance, with Approve and run. A paid step never runs from the card without that quote.
  • Jobs: live progress, then the finished video, or the proposed cut when a job waits for your review.
  • Proposed edits from the edit_ tools: Apply (free) lands the edit, then Undo takes it back.
  • Lists: projects, media in a project, connected accounts, hooks and creator outliers.
  • Transcripts (a short timed excerpt), uploads and posts.
Every card links to the project in the Sigmora editor.
